The major history topic areas in the Into the Midwest unit are Life in the early 1800's American Midwest, and State Spotlights on Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Also included are a World Spotlight on the Scandinavian countries of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, and Greenland, and a Presidential Spotlight on John Tyler. The major science topic in this unit is a study of Forest Biomes.
